The Regional Director will play a pivotal role in leading and directing Mission Aviation Fellowship International operations as the Regional Director for the Asia Pacific region.
This is a challenging and rewarding leadership opportunity that requires a strong leader with a passion for serving others and spreading the Gospel through aviation.
The Regional Director will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to programs in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring effective mission delivery aligned with MAFI's values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective long-term strategies and short-term objectives in alignment with MAF's overall mission and priorities.
- Lead and mentor Asia Pacific Country Directors to facilitate effective program performance and support their leadership growth.
- Oversee training and development of staff, ensuring they are cared for on a personal, spiritual, and corporate level.
- Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external policies, including HR policies, financial management, risk mitigation, and other regulatory policies.
- Engage actively in the Operations Leadership Team, addressing operational challenges and contributing to strategic planning for MAFI across all regions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
- Aptitude in verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning.
- Ability to work within a values-driven framework, particularly when resolving conflicting priorities.
- Extensive leadership and general management experience at a senior level within a charity/NGO context.
- Strong strategic planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building abilities.
- Commitment to MAFI's evangelical Christian beliefs and values.
- Familiarity with the Asia Pacific region and its cultural dynamics.
- Experience working effectively in a cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Management, Agile Management, Development oriented, Missiology training.
