Production Supervisor

Are you a skilled leader looking to take charge of production operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment? This is an exciting opportunity to oversee daily factory operations, driving end-to-end performance and ensuring efficient execution of production schedules. As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high safety and quality standards while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily workflow across assembly, machine operations, and fabrication teams.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of production targets in line with production schedules.
  • Lead and support team members, promoting a strong safety culture and mentoring them in their roles.
  • Monitor equipment utilization, material flow, and efficiency to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Support process improvements through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate with management on key issues and progress.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a factory or production team leadership/supervisor role (steel manufacturing expertise highly valued).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, WHS practices, and quality control principles.
  • Effective problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making under time constraints.
  • Strong communication, people management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • A tertiary degree in Engineering or a related field is not essential but highly desirable.
