About the Role

The Upstream Operator Contracts Team within Asset Services is responsible for end-to-end Contract Management, including budget planning, cost analysis, reporting, and materials coordination.

The Asset Contract Specialist will advise and support the effective management of contracts post-award to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, core processes, and applicable legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post-award management of the commercial aspects of contracts, ensuring all contracted services are provided in accordance with the contract conditions;
  • Forming and maintaining influential relationships with key internal and external stakeholders;
  • Providing critical support and advice to Contract Owners and Sourcing Specialists;
  • Coordinate contract variations, payment claims, and pricing negotiations and contract management;
  • Maintain contract reporting, including KPI and Social Responsibilities Targets, which are monitored and upheld;
  • Ensure that all contractual matters are properly and effectively documented and implemented according to Core Processes and company standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of Post Award contract experience;
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in business, law, engineering, or equivalent;
  • Strong commercial background with demonstrated experience across contract management, compliance, and governance systems and processes;
  • Experience with SAP ERP system;
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and planning sessions to determine key contract management strategies;
  • Experience with process improvement and implementing change.
