PETstock Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead the Merchandise team in delivering customer-focused ranging and promotions.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a thorough understanding of inventory management processes, forecasting, and supplier management.

Key responsibilities include curating, sourcing, and selecting products in line with the category plan, company vision, and merchandise plans.

  • Co-ordinating ranges and stories within and across categories;
  • Executing timely range reviews to deliver improved commercials;
  • Forward planning, negotiating, and confirming a 12-month promotional plan;
  • Improving supplier delivery performance management in collaboration with the Planning and Supply team;
  • Negotiating exclusives and first-to-market opportunities;
  • Implementing the Category Business Plan to achieve budgeted KPIs;
  • Managing the end-to-end product, including overseeing product set up and maintenance;
  • Supporting stores with timely communication to inform and enable them to execute on time and deliver an exceptional customer experience;
  • Developing and coaching direct reports through performance and development plans, training, and technical skills transfer.

About you and what you will bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role, with a tertiary qualification desirable but not essential;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated experience in Category Management, Overseas Importing, and Product Development.
