Role Overview

Kogan.com is seeking a talented Category Manager to join our dynamic Purchasing team. As a key member of our category management team, you will be responsible for driving the growth, innovation, and commercial execution of our categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify commercial opportunities for category expansion, including sourcing and developing new products

  • Engage and source key suppliers from world-renowned brands and Kogan.com's exclusive brands

  • Manage and engage with key stakeholders to build effective working relationships and achieve outcomes in alignment with category strategy

  • Ensure efficient logistics, warehousing, and shipping options for each product

  • Maximize profitability of all products through a deep understanding of the category and market

  • Drive and control promotional strategy and price changes across sales channels, and contribute to pricing reviews when required

  • Ensure timely sourcing and purchase of products and stock management to fulfill customer demand

  • Actively manage and monitor inventory levels to achieve company goals and KPIs

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field, such as Commerce, Business, Entrepreneurship, Merchandising, Planning, or eCommerce

  • Experience as a Category Manager in an eCommerce, Retail, or FCMG environment

  • Exceptional communication and engagement skills to build and maintain effective relationships

  • Highly analytical and commercial nous to recognize opportunities and make impactful decisions for commercial outcomes

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with agility, flexibility, and adaptability
