Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Advisor to support our financial services law and regulation needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and technology agreements
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory obligations, including consumer credit, payments, data privacy, AML/CTF, IP, and competition and consumer laws
  • Support product development and go-to-market initiatives by ensuring compliance from inception through launch
  • Advise on governance policies, compliance programs, and internal procedures to meet ASIC requirements
  • Work with external counsel and regulatory bodies on complex or high-value matters
  • Deliver training and guidance to business teams on legal and compliance matters
Requirements:
  • 3–6 years' PQE in-house or in private practice, with demonstrated experience in fintech, payments, or consumer finance
  • Strong understanding of Australian financial services law and regulation, including consumer credit, data privacy, and AML/CTF frameworks
  • Proven commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to balance legal risk with strategic and operational priorities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
