Are you a motivated accounting professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

This role will involve working with a diverse range of clients across various industries, assisting them with complex financial reporting, tax compliance, and business advisory services. As a Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects, develop your technical skills, and take ownership of your career growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards across a variety of industries.
  • Income Tax Returns: Handle income tax returns for various entities, including companies, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Tax Planning & Advisory: Execute tax planning tasks, and provide advisory services to clients regarding business operations, tax efficiency, and regulatory matters.
  • Business Advisory: Offer business structuring, improvement, and growth advisory services to help clients achieve their business goals.
  • Client Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for clients, liaising with managers and partners to resolve queries and deliver exceptional client experience.

Requirements:
  • At least 3-4 years of business services experience in an Australian accounting practice.
  • CA or CPA qualifications, or close to completion.
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
  • Relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge and use of Xero is desirable.
