This is an excellent career opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a top logistics company.

We use a Global Integrated Management System to assess risks, reduce them in all parts of the business, and improve efficiency. We focus on providing safe, legal solutions that benefit from continuous performance evaluation and improvement.

Your New Role

The Business Development Manager will report to the WA Manager and be responsible for building and developing relationships with potential clients through excellent customer service and extensive business knowledge.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies and target account listings
  • Provide excellence in customer service ensuring repeat business
  • Build and develop relationships with potential clients
  • Follow up on potential business opportunities and secure appointments to discuss logistics requirements
  • Manage the follow-up of client complaints using the QHSE sys/EcoOnline system
  • Supervise and mentor the Sales and Marketing Coordinator
  • Travel to various client bases throughout WA
  • Prepare and submit quotations
  • Plan and develop presentations
  • Assist in the development of marketing literature

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Development role
  • Previous experience working for a shipping/freight forwarding company
  • Previous management experience with a strong ability to drive, develop, and motivate team members
  • Business Development Manager experience
  • Advanced negotiation and relationship skills
  • Experience influencing and engaging key figures in client organizations
  • Strong financial expertise with demonstrated ability to develop and implement business structures
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
