**Job Title:** Senior Gateway Engineer
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gateway Engineer to join our team at Peoplebank Australia Ltd. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining our internet gateway and large-scale data centre networking environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation: Design and implement internet gateway and large-scale data centre networking environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Network Management: Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco Data Centre technologies, F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing, and proxy systems.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure network security and compliance with Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual, and Essential Eight.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network infrastructure, and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and expertise with less experienced colleagues, and assist in the development and implementation of strategies, operational policy, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in designing, managing, and maintaining internet gateway and large-scale data centre networking environments.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience and technical proficiency in designing services utilizing F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems, Cisco Data Centre technologies, and Palo Alto firewalls and IPS Solutions.
- Cloud Experience: Demonstrated experience in the design and integration of hybrid and public cloud services.
- Security Clearance: Must be an Australian citizen with Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance.
Desirable Skills:
- Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platforms.
- Network Analysis Tools: Experience with network analysis tools, such as Wireshark and Nagios.
