As a seasoned executive, you will lead the national sales growth for a rapidly expanding food importer. This is an exceptional opportunity to accelerate revenue growth and elevate brand presence through targeted sales-focused marketing.

This role involves developing and executing commercial strategies across all customer segments: grocery retail, Asian independents, food service, and emerging cash & carry channels.

You will be responsible for building sales momentum, driving margin growth, and leading a high-performing team that blends retail excellence with hands-on commercial execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food import, food distribution, or food service, with a proven track record of success in building sales teams, driving brand growth, and delivering commercial outcomes.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with finance, operations, and supply chain to align inventory, margin, and execution with commercial priorities.

This is a senior executive role within a dynamic privately owned business expanding across mainstream retail, Asian grocery, food service, and cash & carry channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies across all customer segments
  • Build sales momentum and drive margin growth
  • Lead a high-performing team that blends retail excellence with hands-on commercial execution
  • Work closely with finance, operations, and supply chain to align inventory, margin, and execution with commercial priorities

Requirements:

  • Experience in food import, food distribution, or food service
  • Proven track record of success in building sales teams, driving brand growth, and delivering commercial outcomes
  • Strong background managing retail accounts (grocery retail, Asian independents) and/or food service customers
  • Culturally sensitive leadership style suited to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior executive role within a dynamic, privately owned business expanding across mainstream retail, Asian grocery, food service, and cash & carry channels.

Reporting directly to the CEO and owner, you will own the full commercial strategy across retail, food service, and wholesale, covering national chains like Coles and Woolworths, independent Asian grocers, and a growing footprint of cash & carry outlets.

You will be responsible for building sales momentum, driving margin growth, and leading a high-performing team that blends retail excellence with hands-on commercial execution.
