Senior Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our multi-disciplinary team, providing expert social work services in a maternity unit.

This role involves working independently with advanced knowledge and at least 3 years extensive experience in social work.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will play a key role in teaching, training, research, and quality improvement activities, supervising and mentoring students and junior staff.
  • Provide evidence-based senior social work services to patients/carers within the clinical specialty area of Maternity.
  • Prioritize and delegate duties for your caseload and supervised staff.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the social work service and clinical specialty, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and information systems.
Your Requirements

You must hold a tertiary qualification in social work and be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.

You will have proven senior clinical experience and leadership within a Maternity area of clinical practice in a healthcare setting.

You must possess the ability to provide professional supervision and mentorship to junior staff, fostering professional competence and growth.

You will demonstrate a track record of developing evidence-based, innovative clinical practices and initiating quality improvement activities.
