We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at MMG Rosebery mine in Tasmania, Australia. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and facilitate a safety culture that fosters continual improvement of systems and contributes to an injury-free workplace.
- Provide high-level assessment and treatment of work-related and non-work-related medical presentations.
- Accurately and timely report, document, and administer medical services.
- Develop and implement efficient and effective procedures, tools, and templates.
- Plan and coordinate emergency responses and medical evacuations.
- Conduct regular health and medical coaching to Emergency Services Officers and the Emergency Response Team.
- Train the Emergency Response Team in emergency medical disciplines.
- Manage workplace rehabilitation and injury management, ensuring injuries are managed in accordance with MMG requirements.
- Coordinate return to work activities, including planning, implementation, and review of return to work programs.
- Implement and maintain site Occupational Hygiene Monitoring and Health Surveillance Plans.
- Communicate health monitoring results to employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and manage medical records in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure medical service equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
- Administer drugs and maintain stores in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Communicate professionally with external medical practitioners.
- Registered Nurse qualifications with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Qualification in Occupational Hygiene.
- Extensive experience in a similar role within a remote mining operation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and contractors at all levels.
- Demonstrate high-level stakeholder management skills.
- A full manual driver's license.
