Job Description:

As a Contract Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of procurement processes for various projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating deliveries to site, drafting subcontract documentation, reviewing and developing trade packages scope of work, assessing quotes, negotiating tender prices, and providing recommendations.

  • Coordinate procurement activities across multiple projects, including delivery of materials to site
  • Develop and administer subcontract documentation to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Collaborate with project teams to review, develop, and administer trade packages scope of work before issuing tenders
  • Evaluate quotes, negotiate tender prices, and provide detailed comparisons and recommendations
  • Respond promptly to on-site requests from site teams, ensuring timely resolution of queries
  • Assist in managing project variations by obtaining trade variations, assessing quoted variations, and preparing head contract variation submissions
  • Manage client and subcontractor RFIs from site, ensuring accurate and timely responses
  • Oversee Head Contract & Subcontract administration, ensuring seamless execution
  • Monitor and track project expenditure, preparing regular reports to stakeholders
  • Implement programme management strategies to drive project success
  • Determine supply costs from new and existing suppliers, optimizing procurement processes
  • Perform data entry and general administration tasks to support project operations
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A successful Contract Administrator should possess a genuine passion for the Construction industry, coupled with tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a related discipline. Experience as a Contracts Administrator in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment is highly desirable, along with proficiency in MS Suite and JOB PAC software. Agile thinking, negotiation skills, strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential for this role.

  • Tertiary qualified in Construction Management or a related field
  • Experience as a Contracts Administrator in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment
  • Proficiency in MS Suite and JOB PAC software preferred
  • Agile thinking and ability to identify opportunities
  • Confidence in negotiation and communication skills
  • Meticulous eye for detail and exceptional record keeping skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
