Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to manage our compliance with legislation and ensure high standards of practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience in privacy impact assessments, particularly with metadata and technology data holdings. They will be responsible for managing competing priorities, delivering quality work outcomes, and ensuring legislative needs are met within scope and timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage requests for legislative and non-legislative access to information and documents.
  • Promote understanding of, and compliance with, privacy principles and provide best practice leadership and advice.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff on data governance and privacy.
  • Support business areas with tools required for Privacy Impact Assessments.

Requirements:

  • Experience in privacy impact assessments, particularly with metadata and technology data holdings.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work outcomes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
