About the Opportunity

The Mount Isa Hospital Department of Anaesthetics comprises 3 operating theatres and a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit. As a Senior Medical Officer, you will provide high-quality clinical care to patients and contribute to the ongoing improvement of healthcare services.

You'll excel in patient safety by actively participating in sound clinical governance frameworks. This role also offers the opportunity to gain experience working in a remote Australian community.

Key Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary degree qualification is essential, as is registration/licence and completion of the Rural Generalist Anaesthesia training program through ANZCA. A C Class Motor Vehicle Licence is also required.
  • Probation may apply, and pre-employment screening will be conducted, including Criminal History checks.
