Support student wellbeing in a Christ-centred environment.

About the Role

You will work collaboratively with teaching and leadership staff to contribute to whole-of-school wellbeing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience providing individual and group-based counselling support, case management and interagency collaboration within a school or comparable setting.

Selection Criteria
  • A personal Christian faith and active involvement in a local church.
  • Tertiary qualifications in counselling or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of current best practice in student wellbeing and mental health.

The successful applicant will demonstrate ability in behavioural competencies including working with people, adhering to principles and values, planning and organising, and adapting and responding to change. A Working with Children Check is also required.

This role supports the emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing of students from Kindergarten to Year 12. You will contribute to a safe, caring, and inclusive college environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with teaching staff to provide support for students' wellbeing.
  • Providing individual and group-based counselling support.
  • Managing cases and collaborating with external professionals.

As a Counsellor – Christian Education, you will be responsible for supporting students from Kindergarten to Year 12, as well as contributing to whole-of-school wellbeing initiatives.
