The Austin Health Orthotics and Prosthetics Department is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Orthotist to join our team. As a Graduate Orthotist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development and improvement of our orthotics and prosthetics service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical services to patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of orthotic and prosthetic interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our orthotics and prosthetics service, including quality improvement initiatives and education programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Masters of Clinical Prosthetic and Orthotics (or Bachelor equivalent).
  • AOPA membership with certification as an Orthotist/Prosthetist.
  • Interest in an area of clinical practice relevant to Austin Health (Musculoskeletal, Spinal Injury, and pressure injury management).
  • Working knowledge of external funding streams such as NDIS, TAC, Work Cover, and SWEP.
