About This Role

The Regional Healthcare Social Work Specialist plays a pivotal part in the multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering high-quality services to patients and clients of the region.

This role is responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive, high-level clinical services, including complex cases, across the region.
  • Offering consultative services and clinical expertise in renal psychosocial issues.
  • Fostering high-quality social work supervision, education, and support of social work staff, allied health assistants, and students as needed.

We seek a candidate who demonstrates:

  • Tertiary qualification in social work, eligible for Australian Association of Social Workers membership.
  • Advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in delivering high-quality evidence-based social work in healthcare and chronic disease-related psychosocial supports.
  • Strong leadership in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
