About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Food Process Workers at our Inghams Further Processing site in Thomastown.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and inspect raw and cooked materials safely and systematically, adhering to quality specifications.
  • Tend allocated production lines, perform processing tasks efficiently, and work to meet individual and group targets.
  • Complete manual handling duties, including lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, and reaching.
  • Work as an active, respectful team member, being reliable and honoring work commitments.
  • Participate in safety initiatives, follow safety rules, speak up, and be mindful of risks.
  • Clean duties and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Work with fresh food requires high levels of personal hygiene and working in a cold environment.
  • Store and maintain materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Identify and escalate Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitious tasks efficiently, correctly, and systematically in accordance with policies and standards.
  • Capacity to understand, correctly interpret, and follow instructions, procedures, and information.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Capability to successfully communicate written and verbally.
  • A record showing work commitment, reliability, and motivation.
  • Ability to respond calmly and methodically when faced with obstacles.
  • Good level of fitness required, as manual handling of up to 5kg-18kg is necessary.
