Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Description:

We are seeking skilled professionals to fill the position of a mechanical maintenance technician. This full-time role is based at our Perth location, offering opportunities for professional growth and development across various Western Australian sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine technical specifications to determine job requirements, materials, equipment settings, and machining configurations.
  • Join metal parts using welding techniques and fasteners (bolts, screws, rivets).
  • Assemble fabricated metal components into machinery and equipment, ensuring precise fit and functionality.
  • Inspect metal components using precision measuring instruments; operate manual and power tools for adjustments.
  • Configure machining tools, adjust controls, and install cutting and shaping tools.
  • Conduct fault analysis, routine maintenance, and extensive repairs on mechanical and fluid power equipment.

About You:

  • Trade certification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as a mechanical maintenance technician in mining operations.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Confined Spaces and Working at Heights certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed plant machinery, conveyor systems, belt installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Proven experience with routine inspections, reporting, and fault diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
