Job Opportunity:

Dental professionals with passion for delivering quality care in remote and rural areas are encouraged to apply for this challenging role.

  • Job Summary
  • This role involves providing a range of clinical dental services including examination, oral health promotion, and treatment to eligible community members in rural Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accurate diagnosis and treatment planning within scope of practice.
  2. Referral of patients for specialist services or private services for non-eligible patients.
  3. Effective management of patient care, patient safety, infection control, record keeping, and health promotional activities.
  4. Maintenance of effective practices for sterilisation and disinfection of instruments and equipment.
  5. Processing and maintaining dental records.
  6. Providing health education and promoting oral hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dental Science or a related discipline.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with no current conditions as a Dental Practitioner.
  • Minimum of three years' clinical experience as a Dentist within Australia.
  • Availability to work a one week on and one week off roster.
  • Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions.
  • A commitment to excellence in the delivery of patient-focused healthcare.
  • Ability to handle challenging operational situations in a calm and rational manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
