
Government Relations Associate

The role of Government Relations Associate is situated within a corporate affairs division, supporting engagement with government and diplomatic representatives. The team develops and implements a government relations strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support across regulatory and governance requirements for the team.
- Assist in coordinating key engagements with government stakeholders, including managing logistics to support activities, and monitoring policy developments relevant to Macquarie's businesses.
- Assist engagement with ministerial, departmental, and diplomatic representatives through policy analysis and preparation of briefing materials for the team and senior leaders.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public policy, international relations or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in politics and government relations, with understanding of the Australian political landscape.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
