Base pay range $149,739.00/yr - $173,174.00/yr Direct message the job poster from NSW Treasury Associate Director – Industrial Relations Coordination Employment Type: Ongoing – Part -Time, 21 hours per week Remuneration: $149,739.00 - $173,174.00 plus, Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible working options available Applications Close: 15 August 2025 at 9:59am Role impact & contribution As NSW Treasury's primary agency relationship manager, the Policy and Budget group collaborates with government agencies and the community to provide trusted, independent advice on financial management, policy reform, and resource allocation.
It also delivers agency and portfolio advice, strategic reform, and the state Budget, supporting evidence-driven decisions, public sector performance, and strong public finances.
The Industrial Relations (IR) Coordination team within the group coordinates advice on the fiscal and economic impacts of the Government's IR agenda and conducts financial modelling to estimate the impacts of changes to wages and conditions, working closely with stakeholders across Treasury and the NSW Government.
The team also provides analysis and advice on broader workforce, IR and policy reforms.
The Associate Director leads a small team to deliver high-quality analysis and advice to support government decision-making and reform development, collaborates with Treasury stakeholders, and builds internal capability across Treasury.
Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.
You will be joining our Policy and Budget Group and will be working within the Strategy, Delivery and Reviews Division.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Experience in managing teams and developing a positive working culture.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, and sound understanding of the public sector environment.
Demonstrated experience in succeeding in high pressure and dynamic environment with compressed deadlines.
Ability to analyse and synthesise diverse information and provide high quality advice to support government decision-making.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and complex information and analysis in different ways (verbal, written and visual) appropriate to the audience.
Successful track record leading program and policy design, delivery and reform.
Commitment to continuous improvement including of established processes.
Experience working in industrial relations and/or understanding of financial management in the NSW public sector would be highly regarded.
