We are seeking a junior product procurer to support the product manager with key operational, administrative and analytical tasks.

The Role

This role will play a crucial part in executing purchasing strategies and product assortment management for optical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and analysing competitor activity to inform product selection, collaborating with the product manager to prepare buy proposals and routine reports analysing sales and inventory performance, and managing customer and store team feedback to inform product ranges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis and Insights
    • Track and analyse competitor activity to inform product selection.
    • Collaborate with the product manager to prepare buy proposals, routine reports analysing sales and inventory performance.
    • Manage customer and store team feedback, utilising insights to inform product ranges.
  • Purchasing Support
    • Assist with product category strategies and sales plans to enhance brand positioning and maximise performance.
    • Work closely with the product manager in selecting and purchasing product ranges and quantities, utilising sales data.
    • Partner with the e-commerce team to ensure product range representation matches current inventory and strategies.
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Support the product manager in developing and maintaining supplier relationships, providing data insights for service level and pricing structure management.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 2-4 years retail fashion buying experience, strong collaboration skills, and a demonstrated understanding of retail fundamentals. Tertiary education in retail buying, merchandise planning or general business is desirable.
