Key Role Summary

Our organisation seeks a highly skilled Solution Designer to bridge the gap between our innovative financial management platform and customers' specific business requirements.

This key position will work closely with leads generated by our sales team, following a structured discovery process to understand customer needs, determine solution fit, and present compelling proposals. The focus will be on technical solution design, customer education, and ensuring a strong fit between customer needs and our Platform.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Solution Design & Customer Engagement: Provide compelling demonstrations of our Platform, lead structured discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand their current financial operations, pain points, and requirements, analyse customer business processes and identify opportunities where we can deliver value, design solutions that address specific customer needs and align with, and optimise, their financial systems and processes, collaborate with our implementation team to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and optimally configured.
  • Technical Presentations & Workshops: Conduct compelling product demonstrations that showcase our capabilities in real-world scenarios, present technical solutions and business cases to diverse audiences, from finance teams to C-level executives, facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with customer stakeholders, build strong relationships with key decision-makers throughout the sales process.
  • Opportunity Qualification & Management: Evaluate the technical and commercial viability of opportunities, qualify prospects based on solution fit, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority.
  • Proposal Development & Handover: Assist in the creation of solution proposals that clearly articulate value proposition, technical approach, and implementation roadmap, develop project scoping and resource estimates, present proposals to customers and address questions or concerns, ensure smooth handover to the implementation team for successful customers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather customer feedback and market insights to inform product development priorities, collaborate with marketing team to refine messaging and positioning, contribute to the development of sales collateral, case studies, and technical documentation, stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Proven experience working with customers in the accounting/finance space with strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent relationship-building abilities, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian accounting standards, compliance requirements, and business processes.
  • Technical Background: Experience with SaaS platforms, ideally having worked for a SaaS company, ERP provider, or accounting software company, experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Sage).
