We are experts in deploying and delivering Wi-Fi solutions, as well as designing and implementing LAN, AAA solutions (like Cisco ISE), location tracking systems, and biomedical integrations.
We primarily serve large enterprise customers.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to support our business growth.
The ideal candidate will not only bring strong financial expertise but also play a key role in mentoring and developing our finance team.
This is a leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving performance and supporting long-term success.
Prior management accounting experience in construction/project management industry – advanced understanding of Work in Progress and how to compile the datasets and account for activity financially.
This role works closely with the GM & Director to provide clear and accurate financial information, streamline data systems and processes and provide value added analysis.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a passion for accounting excellence within an organisation and delivering hands-on accounting and financial support to a variety of stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail, proficient organisation skills, a sound continuous improvement attitude and growth mindset.
Whilst focused on the future growth and opportunities, the successful applicant should be hands-on with current financial responsibility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Management Accounting:
• Operational accounting and financial functions: timely and accurate month end process, cash flow management, management reporting, overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processes, reconciliations and end of financial year processes.
• Regulatory and compliance: compliance with all returns including BAS, Income Tax, Payroll Tax and Workcover, adhering to Australian Accounting Standards and Corporations Act
• Best practice initiatives: identifying performance improvement initiatives, optimising processes, implementing controls and workflows to create efficiency, reduce risk and drive scalability across the business.
Financial Planning and Commercial Analysis:
• Budget and forecasting: driving the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting process, working with key stakeholders to enable effective decision making and ensuring alignment with organisation objectives.
• Pricing Analysis: Developing and maintaining the company's price list and pricing model for services and recurring revenue including profitability analysis and adjustment.
• Cash Flow Management: Ensuring the company has sufficient cash flow to meet its ongoing obligations and make strategic investments.
• Financial & KPI Reporting: Overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements (monthly), such as the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, progress to budget as well as reporting key KPIs, such as enrolment activity, that drive revenue and performance.
• Cost Management: Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures to improve the company's profitability.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
• You will be an experienced accountant, financial controller or other commercial role with 5+ years professional experience
• Hold a relevant accounting degree (CPA or CA preferred).
• Experience in a fast-paced growth environment
• Possess a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, and financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Have prior experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
• Demonstrated experience in identifying workflow challenges, making recommendations and process improvements across a range of functions whilst ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
• Ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, providing professional support and excellent attention to detail.
• Are a clear and concise communicator with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Thrive in a hands-on environment and are eager to learn new things and grow.
• An interest in education and the power of technology to scale the impact of learning on individuals and organisations.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Able to multitask a variety of financial duties with multiple deadlines.
• Adaptable to situations as they occur with a positive attitude.
• Able to work both autonomously and within a team environment when necessary.
