Cloud Architect Job Overview

The role of Cloud Solutions Architect is a key position within our organization, responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that drive business transformation. This involves selecting appropriate Azure and SaaS-based services, ensuring compliance with governance and security standards, and driving measurable outcomes through solution effectiveness, adoption rates, and cost optimization.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of cloud solutions from design to support.
  • Deliver robust, scalable, and cost-effective architectural designs.
  • Develop governance frameworks for risk assessment and compliance.
  • Promote change within the firm and find innovative solutions.
  • Translate strategy into architecture plans with clear value outcomes.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI-driven cloud capabilities.
  • Conduct reviews to track outcomes against KPIs.
  • Communicate ideas clearly and balance different perspectives.
  • Mentor and upskill engineers and IT teams.
  • Contribute to the development of architecture standards.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant technology roles.
  • Background in consulting and/or large corporate environments preferred.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management), Azure AD and B2C, web and function apps.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SDLC, security frameworks, and governance models.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Desire to investigate, implement, and support new technologies.
