Academic Manager

Job Description:

As an Academic Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our ELICOS program. This includes managing the curriculum, providing training and support to teachers, and ensuring that the program meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the ELICOS Standard 2018 and the National Code ESOS Act 2000
  • Providing training, mentorship, and ongoing support to teachers to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to deliver effective lessons
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the program, including scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping
  • Overseeing student assessment and evaluation, conducting assessment validation, reviewing, and updating assessment strategy when required
  • Ensuring that the program meets the ELICOS Standard 2018 and the National Code ESOS Act 2000

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A bachelor's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (a master's degree is preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching ELICOS programs to international students
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • A creative and adaptable teaching style that fosters a positive learning environment
  • Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning purposes
