Child Advocate Specialist

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that involves working closely with foster carers, families and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitating transitions and coordinating caregiver matches to ensure the best possible support for each child.
- Providing regular updates and support to foster carers to help them navigate the care system and provide high-quality care.
- Working with a range of stakeholders to ensure that each child receives the specialised care they need to overcome their past experiences and achieve their full potential.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Post-secondary qualifications in Welfare, Social Work, Child Development or a related field.
- A current Victorian driver's licence and current CPR and First Aid certificate.
- The ability to communicate effectively with adults, adolescents, children and sector representatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding the out-of-home care system and available resources and services in Gippsland.
