About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Rural Therapy Services Specialist to join our dynamic team at Ability Action Australia.


As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services to children and families in rural areas.


You will work closely with our team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and behaviour support practitioners to provide comprehensive care and support to our clients.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with children aged 0-7 years and families, as well as a strong knowledge of the NDIS and its requirements.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients and contribute to the growth and development of our team.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based and tailored to the individual needs of each client
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure the effectiveness of interventions
  • Provide training and education to clients and their families on strategies and techniques to support their daily living and independence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and outcomes

Requirements:



  • University qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, or Early Childhood Education
  • Extensive experience working with children aged 0-7 years and families
  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS and its requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care
