About the Role

The NODAC On Call Support Officer is a critical position within our organization, responsible for providing administrative support to our dedicated volunteers who participate in the No One Dies Alone (NODAC) program. This program provides emotional and holistic support to our residents who are approaching end of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage NODAC vigil rosters to ensure seamless support for our residents.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate the provision of the vigil program, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Liaise with Service Managers and members of the clinical team to initiate and communicate requests for vigils in a timely and reliable manner.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of volunteers to provide vigils to NODAC residents at end-of-life.
Requirements
  • Advanced-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role, with experience in rostering/scheduling tasks highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams/Zoom).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, be reliable, punctual, and committed to adhering to the roster.
  • A sound understanding of palliative care and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity).
