Public Health Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work on improving training and research in Public health.

  • As a Public Health Specialist, you will be the focal point for national and international clients and partner organisations, responding to inquiries and maintaining client databases.
  • You will plan, develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health promotion activities and communications, incorporating evaluation results to continuously improve procedures, material, content, and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal and external digital newsletter communications with department leads.
  • Represent IFT at meetings and community events relevant to the role.
  • Assist with content development/update of relevant training and research resources as well as marketing material and campaigns.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain partnerships, cross promotion opportunities and strategic alliances with relevant community/advocacy groups as well as national and international networks.
  • Plan relevant marketing opportunities and campaigns in the area of Public health.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in health promotion or a related field, or relevant experience in health system improvement.
  • Administrative and/or office management skills.
  • Project coordination experience including planning, monitoring, and reporting on projects.
  • Experience in identifying and establishing partnerships and collaboration that support health promotion priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence organisation focus to reflect public sector health policy, priorities, and emerging trends.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, managing, and evaluating health promotion activities & projects.
  • A positive and proactive approach to work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including report writing and presenting.
  • Dedication, passion, thoroughness, and reliability.
