Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

A proactive and experienced Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is required to support the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) at the Torbanlea Manufacturing Facility.

This role is pivotal in developing, coordinating, and implementing maintenance strategies aligned with the Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP), ensuring facility assets operate efficiently, reliably, and safely, supporting production objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Strategy Development: Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies aligned with the TMP.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate maintenance plans, ensuring effective inter-department communications.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with production, engineering, and external service providers to manage asset risk while supporting operations.
  • Zero Harm Initiatives: Lead Zero Harm initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Team Management: Manage contractors and maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with site procedures and permits.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical support and continuously improve maintenance processes.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership in managing teams, projects, and maintenance operations.
  • Maintenance Knowledge: Strong background in asset maintenance across infrastructure, rail, facilities, or a relevant industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in computerised maintenance management systems (Maximo highly regarded) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Safety Regulations: Solid understanding of safety regulations, permits, and safe work documentation (JSEA, SWMS).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to drive process improvements and deliver cost efficiencies.
