Job Description

Eku Energy seeks a Communications Manager to lead global communication and engagement. This pivotal role supports Eku Energy's global business expansion, collaborating with various departments to oversee global communications, marketing, media, and stakeholder engagement for battery storage investments and operations.

This role offers flexibility in the APAC region, either in Melbourne or Sydney. The Communications Manager will execute strategic communication initiatives, foster engagement, and strengthen presence in existing and new markets.

The position presents a unique opportunity for passionate communications professionals to make a significant impact on Eku Energy's journey towards global market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and manage Eku's global media, communications, and engagement strategy.
  2. Enhance and protect Eku's brand reputation as brand guardian and ambassador internally and externally.
  3. Lead media activity and engagement, working with external agencies as appropriate, to prepare and distribute press releases and ensure consistent coverage globally.
  4. Oversee the development of all communications collateral to support company announcements, milestones, and public engagement activities.
  5. Brief senior executives and the global business, preparing proactive key messages and collateral to support internal and external activities.
  6. Manage and continuously improve Eku's online presence, including web, LinkedIn, and other modes of engagement, including media monitoring.
  7. Oversee and coordinate the company's global events calendar and attendance, ensuring all company attendees are briefed and supported appropriately.
  8. Design and deliver community and stakeholder engagement strategies at a project and portfolio level.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, partners, media, suppliers, local communities, and broader project stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in communications or relevant field.
  2. 6+ years' work experience in marketing and communications.
  3. Proven ability to create, manage, and deliver strategic communications plans globally.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable experience in media relations and stakeholder engagement.
  5. Knowledge and track record of working in renewable energy and battery storage industry is favourable.
