Job SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a strong work ethic to join our Engineering team at our modern, Gepps Cross manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diverse fabrication and assembly projects, including lathe and mill work, cutting, drilling, commissioning and installation of roll forming and other sheet metal equipment, fabrication and assembly of proprietary manufacturing equipment, welding and fabricating medium to heavy sub-structures and components, and assembly.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble a variety of products using manual machining and fitting techniques.
- Perform lathe and mill work, cutting, drilling, and other fabrication tasks as required.
- Commission and install roll forming and other sheet metal equipment.
- Assist with R&D activities, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard.
- Formal trade qualification in Fitting & Turning or Toolmaking.
- Experience in a toolroom environment.
- Manual machining and fitting experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to creatively solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work to high tolerances.
- Experience welding of different types.
