Centre Technician Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Centre Technician to join our team.

The Role:

As a key member of the Service & Supply Centre team, you will deliver exceptional customer service and support daily operations by assisting customers at the counter and on the phone.

You will also learn hose assembly, machine/weld, and pipe-bending procedures, supporting the efficient delivery of services to our customers.

With training and opportunities for advancement, you will work towards becoming an integral part of the team and contributing to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operation of the Hose Service Centre
  • Learn and develop skills in hose assembly, machine/weld, and pipe-bending procedures
  • Assist customers' needs at counter and on the phone
  • Pick-up and deliver goods as required

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills
  • Ability to carry out instructions and follow procedures
  • A knowledge of the industry or similar type
  • Mechanical background an advantage but not imperative
  • Ability to operate machinery, use tools, and measuring devices
  • Current driver's licence or working towards obtaining one, reliable transport is needed - Ability to drive manual is essential
  • Be computer literate and have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Well-presented and groomed
  • Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and problem solve
  • Desire to be a team player
  • Live within a reasonable distance to the business
  • An understanding of WHS and Safe Work Practices
  • Maintain neat and tidy dress and appearance in line with company standards
