About the Role

We are seeking a skilled artisan to join our team as a bread specialist. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, values consistency, and enjoys working with traditional and modern baking methods.

You will be responsible for producing a range of high-quality baked goods, including breads, rolls, and pastries. Experience with retarders and bulk fermentation is essential, as you will need to bring out the best flavour, texture, and quality in our doughs.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mix, shape, and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, and specialty products.
  • Prepare and maintain doughs using retarders and managing bulk sourdough fermentation.
  • Follow production schedules and meet daily bakery demands.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness standards.
  • Operate and care for bakery equipment safely.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver consistent results.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a trade qualified baker (Certificate III or equivalent) with Australian work rights. A couple of years' baking experience in a commercial environment is also required.

Strong knowledge of dough development, fermentation, and baking processes is essential, as well as reliability, punctuality, and pride in producing high-quality products.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and passion for artisan bread and continuous improvement are also necessary.
