We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director who is passionate about early childhood education and ready to embrace a new opportunity. This centre, designed for 71 children, provides a secure, engaging, and nurturing atmosphere for young learners. The centre's design allows ample natural light to create a welcoming and warm environment.
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a committed Director to lead a new centre in Picton. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, manage a team of devoted educators, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and foster strong connections with families and the community.
- Creating and sustaining a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Recruiting, training, and supervising staff members
- Designing and implementing educational programs and curricula
- Maintaining effective communication with parents and families
- Overseeing budgets and financial resources
- Ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory standards
- Collaborating with community organizations and partners
- Conducting regular assessments to promote quality improvement
- Addressing any conflicts or issues that arise within the centre
Skills and Experience
- Strong organizational and management skills are essential
- Experience in developing Quality Improvement Plans, fee structures, and child enrolments (or willingness to learn)
- Thorough understanding of licensing requirements and health and safety regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children, while actively listening to feedback
- Knowledge of financial management principles, including budget creation and management
- Previous experience as a Director is highly desirable

Requirements
- Must be an Australian resident with full working rights
- Hold a bachelor's degree or Diploma in early childhood education (or ACECQA equivalent)

- Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications
- Current Employment Working with Children Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
