Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is a key role within the Nurse and Midwifery Resource Office (NMRO) at ACT Health. The CNE is responsible for providing expert educational leadership and management to the relief and casual nursing staff, as well as a small team of Clinical Development Nurses (CDNs).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely and appropriate education.
- Provide expert educational leadership and management to the relief and casual nursing staff and CDNs.
- Assess training and education needs to enable staff to work across a multitude of areas.
- Maintain accountability for their own practice standards, education, and work collaboratively with the NMRO team to support the professional development of the relief and casual nursing workforce.
Requirements
- Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.
- Compliance with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators in other clinical areas.
