About the Role

At Industrial Light & Magic, we're looking for an experienced Environmental Art Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, creating high-quality computer graphics environments and landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create stunning photo-realistic environments and landscapes using traditional, digital, and computer-generated techniques
  • Work with live action footage, digital still photography, rendered computer graphic elements, and digital paint to create seamless integrations into assigned shotwork
  • Mentor junior artists and assist them with their shots
  • Collaborate with senior-level artists and generalists to determine aesthetic solutions and provide feedback on production
  • Meet defined milestones within a timeline and source suitable reference materials for required assets

Requirements

  • Proven ability in one or more CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, or compositing
  • High level of problem-solving or creative thinking skills
  • Fluent in Photoshop, Houdini, 3dsmax, Maya, or similar software
  • Degree or 3-5 years relevant experience in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design, or Photography
