**About the Job**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a permanent part-time position.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing quality service to both the dispensary and inpatients of the hospital, safely preparing chemotherapy/biotherapy in accordance with training, policy and procedures, and participating in the day-to-day tasks required to ensure safe and timely delivery of chemotherapy/biotherapy to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing quality service to both the dispensary and inpatients of the hospital
  • Safely preparing chemotherapy/biotherapy in accordance with training, policy and procedures
  • Participating in the day-to-day tasks required to ensure safe and timely delivery of chemotherapy/biotherapy to patients
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time and in accordance with Barwon Health policies and procedures
  • Assisting in the scheduling and labelling of prepared chemotherapy/biotherapy
  • Assisting in the dispensing of other medications for ALCC patients

Requirements:

  • Essential: Hospital, Industry or Community pharmacy experience in the preparation of sterile or chemotherapy products
  • Desirable: Aseptic experience
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
