About the Role

As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing liability claims and providing exceptional service to our clients. Your primary duties will include liaising with claimants, clients, solicitors, repairers, and assessors to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Manager to provide relevant information for the efficient operation of the claims unit.
  • Manage and update claims portfolios, maintaining accurate records of claims status.
  • Liaise with clients and claimants to resolve liability claims in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Make recommendations to clients and negotiate claim settlements with their authority.
  • Refer files exceeding client insurance excess to relevant insurers and update claims database accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with clients on claim progress and satisfaction.
  • Participate in regular claims unit meetings to identify improvements to claims procedures.
  • Deliver approved training programs to client staff as requested.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in managing claims.
  • Public liability claims experience is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and understanding in managing confidential information.
