About the Job:

This role is part of a pioneering program, Safe Wayz, which aims to provide a comprehensive response for children under the age of criminal responsibility who exhibit problematic or harmful sexual behaviors. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate primary prevention initiatives, offer early support to children and families, and facilitate pathways into specialist counseling services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. You will also have a passion for working with Aboriginal families and communities, as well as experience in coordinating cultural consultations.

A dedicated professional development plan will be implemented to ensure your growth and success in this role. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Sexual Assault Clinical Lead, Forensic Medical Lead, JCPRP Coordinator, Child Protection Counseling Service Clinical Lead, and Priority Populations Program in developing local policy, procedures, and strategic direction.

To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate a commitment to providing culturally safe services and be able to provide evidence of your Aboriginality.
