Job Title: Principal Project Engineer - APAC

Energy Vault is seeking an experienced Principal Project Engineer to lead the execution of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in the Asia Pacific region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project execution, optimizing design, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project execution, including scope, schedule, and stakeholders
  • Identify gaps in scope and responsibility, and work with stakeholders to address them
  • Apply engineering principles and consult subject matter experts to identify issues and drive solutions
  • Specify equipment for projects, including Transformers, Switchgear, and protection solutions
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent communication
  • Review project design documents, including single line drawings, communication diagrams, layouts, and equipment test reports
  • Plan and lead BESS project commissioning
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve internal processes and product
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical or power system engineering) or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience leading project design, preferably in the building of large power stations or PV or other utility-scale power projects
  • 3+ years of BESS or PV project experience, preferred
  • PE certification or equivalent, preferred
  • Familiarity in permitting processes with local authorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30%
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, rapid growth environments
