About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals with acquired spinal cord injuries in their homes.

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assisting with transfers, using hoists as required, and maintaining mobility
  • Supporting with toileting, bladder and bowel management, and basic wound care
  • Preparing meals, managing household duties, and performing laundry tasks
  • Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities, promoting community integration
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, enabling you to transport clients safely
  • The ability to work a fixed fortnightly roster, including morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, NDIS Workers Screening and Blue Cards
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in a similar field, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional care
