The key responsibility of this role is to provide high-level legal and legislative advice and services on a broad range of matters.

Main Objectives:
  • Provide authoritative guidance on complex legal, legislation, and policy issues.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to deliver high-quality client-focused legal and legislation services.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Delivering high-level briefings and correspondence.
  • Working closely with policy areas within the department and other teams in the Legal Services branch.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A strong understanding of legislation and policy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This role will support the policy development and provide relevant legislation services to deliver the department's legislation program. The Legislation team works closely with various teams to deliver the program efficiently.
