We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
About the Role:
This 12-bed unit is staffed with RNs, CNAs, Telemetry Techs, and unit secretaries who work together to provide specialized care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, allowing for personalized attention and care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatments.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, applicants should have a current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state. Additional requirements include:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire and maintained thereafter.
