Perioperative Care Specialist

Anaesthetic Nurses play a pivotal role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during the recovery process post-surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with anaesthetists to deliver high-quality perioperative care
- Monitor patient vital signs and anaesthetic levels, utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills
- Provide comprehensive post-operative care in Recovery/PACU, maintaining a safe environment for patients
- Promote accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to industry standards
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, leveraging clinical expertise
- Maintain seamless communication and collaboration with surgical teams and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Anaesthetic Nurse is essential
- Current nursing registration in Australia (AHPRA) is mandatory
- Relevant Recovery/PACU experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and assessment skills, facilitating informed decision-making
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are crucial for success in this role
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required
