Job Title: Care and Support Worker">

Berry Street's Residential Care Program provides a safe and supportive environment for children and young people aged 10-17 who have been placed under Child Protection orders.

The role of the Care and Support Worker is to provide high-quality therapeutic care, support, and guidance to these young people, helping them to develop important life skills and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver therapeutic care and support to children and young people
  • Participate in daily household duties and ensure a clean and pleasant environment
  • Implement current best practice in therapeutic interventions for trauma and attachment
  • Contribute to education, living, social, and recreational skills activities tailored to individual needs
  • Maintain clear communication and record keeping, adhering to program guidelines

Requirements:

  • A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent
  • Commitment to enrolling in a relevant qualification if not already held
  • Driver's license (minimum green P's)
