Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and manage age-related ocular diseases, injuries, and disorders of the eye.
  • Provide traditional patient care including vision testing and prescribing corrective lenses.
  • Complete accurate patient and clinical documentation in an optometry electronic medical record system.
  • Apply coding guidelines and populate billing codes for services provided.
  • Comply with OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and equipment sterilization.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Optometrist with proficiency in assessing, treating, managing, and evaluating eye conditions and disorders.
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using EMR, text, email, and internet-based healthcare software.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to deliver quality, attentive care.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift.
  • Transport optometry equipment weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasional transport of patients in wheelchairs may be required.

Education & Certifications:
  • O.D. degree
  • Current State professional license
  • Valid driver's license
